Options Trading Tutorial

I was recently given some option trading software. With no background, should I waste my time?

I was gifted the options software for Wizetrade. With limited capital ($1000-$2000) is this a good idea to pay for the service and try and use this as an investment tool?

2. not a good idea.. you want to invest money in something you understand.. if dont think its a good idea then its not a good idea.. you could make money.. but its not worth it to lose your money especially if you dont understand it.
3. Options are really useful if you have tons of money and wealth to protect. Option trades for the average investor are way too expensive to be feasible. Options can get really tricky to understand and are really not worth the effort unless your a billionaire trying to lock in gains. I would definitely not pay to use options as they are exactly that, you pay for the option to exercise the trade. Meaning if it not worth exercising you just spent money to wait and see if an investment pans out. If you exercise an option you still pay commissions on the trade. With $2k to invest your biggest hurdle is lowering the transaction costs of trading. Hope this helps.
