- I have never used optionMONSTER nor have I seen anyone else mention that he uses it. The closest relationship I can claim to it is that I have met Jon Najarian once at the CBOE. My first options trade was over 25 years ago and, quite frankly, I have no idea how or if the information they supply could be used to trade profitably. If you are bound and determined to throw money at them, I would recommend the "Open Order" choice since it costs the least ("only" $1,000 per year) and appears to include some educational material. I do recommend in the strongest terms possible that before you pay for any options subscription services you read some good books about options trading. If you don't understand the subject, you will have no idea if the subscription if supplying you with worthwhile information or pure crap, any even if the information is worthwhile you need to know how to utililze it effectively. My two favorite books on options are "Options as a Strategic Investment" by Lawrence McMillon and "Options Volatility & Pricing" by Sheldon Natenberg. I will also mention one other book just published, The Rookie's Guide to Options by Mark Wolfinger, because the author regularly contributes to the message board at http://messages.yahoo.com/Business_%26_Finance/Investments/forumview?bn=4686677 That means you can get clarification on any points that confuse you directly from the author.
