What's the best way to learn how to successfully make money with collar trades and options?

If it means signing up for a seminar or online class, what's the max that one should pay for it?

1. buy a textbook on derivatives. John hull has one of the best "Options, Futures And Other Derivatives:" I think that prentice hall is the publisher. Never trust those seminars that are advertised at 3:00 in the morning. They suck in a bunch of idiots who try the "strategies". Just by luck, a tiny percentage gets lucky and they are put in the infomercials to show that "anyone can do it". If making money with their scams actually worked, then 1. why would they be selling it to you when investment banks would pay millions of times more & 2. If we mortals could make mountains of cash with little or no risk, then why aren't we? & 3. why are they wasting time teaching you when they could me making trades?
