Options Trading Tutorial

Should I buy incentive stock options?

My company has offered me ISO's (incentive stock options), but I've never bought stock and don't know the ramifications. I work at a company that plans to go public in about a year and is doing well. Any ideas and/or thoughts would help. Thanks!

  1. If you know your company and the management is hard working and honest, they are turning a profit and you think the business has good prospects for success then YES! Many people have gotten rich beyond their wildest dreams working for successful startups.
  2. an option is the right but not the obligation to buy or sell a stock at a point in the future. if you know the company and its management well then yes, this could be very profitable to you.
