- 888options.com has great info on options, free video tutorials and test as well. You can also give them a call, they're very helpful. As a beginner you should start with something unleveraged. The ideal set up is that you would have a low commission broker so that with each trade you would be risking say 5 dollars. The problem with leveraging is that you leverage what you are. If you're a newbie, then you're multiplying your newbiness. If your unsuccessful, then you're multiplying your losses. Leveraging is really for those who are already highly successful and are looking to leverage their success.
- If you need help with this you should give up now. Option Trading is very risky and best left to experts.
- You will need something like 5k to start trading options; sure you can start with less but this will allow you at least a chance (start with less and you're end up wiped out on a single miss). The problem with options is that time works against you and options can expire worthless, CFDs are great for a simple punt; up or down and time isn't a concern.
