Can someone recommend a good online broker for stock options. Any info added would be appreciated.?

2. The big online brokerages like Scottrade and TD Ameritrade include online options trading. To open any account with the ability to trade options, however, there are much higher minimums for the account! E.g. $2000 minimum or more, vs $500 minimum for a regular trading account. You are also required to complete a separate application for options trading (SEC requirement, not the brokerages' requirements). There are plenty of online brokerages, and each one is suitable for different trading volumes and different experiential levels of the account holder. If you were very knowledgeable and experienced, for example, you would not go with a commercial account like these but go for a professional account. If you were a pro, you would not ask this, therefore I do not mention any of them. The two mentioned are very popular, widely known, and highly regarded. Of course, there are plenty more.
3. Thinkorswim is the best option brokerage out there with tons for free tools. Charting is programmable to fit your style. The analysis feature is a must for any trader. It should the profit and loss graph today, at expiration, or any specified date. Complex strategries is not hard to graph. You get to see the potential profit or loss before you enter a trade. Commission is negotiable but you should be able to get $1.50/ contract or better just for asking.
