I am considering taking up a simple home-based course to learn how to trade in futures and options.?

1. There's nothing simple about futures or options.
2. Odds in this business are worse than the odds of winning in the poker or slot room on the cruise ships. You had better do a lot of studying and learn the business inside out before throwing real dollars into the frey.

I am not sure what your question is, but I want to let you know there are some excellent free courses on options available on-line at http://www.cboe.com/LearnCenter/default.aspx and http://www.optionseducation.org/ Most expensive classes on options are poor investments. There are no "secrets" in option trading. You can learn everything you could learn in an expensive class by taking advantage of the free resources above then buying/borrowing and reading some good books on options.
4. http://whit.me/StockInvestingCourse Before you start investing check that site out. To make money you got to spend money. That is the official website that helped me start making thousands recently. It was featured in Forbes magazine before - it is damn good. Especially with the current economic crisis, you can make a lot of money when the economy improves soon. You will be a millionaire (Which I'm currently working on it!) soon!
5. Some people are making money out of freshie like you by offering courses which you can in fact get it for free. Do check out CBOE for their free resources or enroll in their paid courses at minimal cost.
