Can you make just as much profit trading financial bonds as you can trading short term stock options?
Does anyone know? I mean short durations like 4 weeks, 6 weeks? Thanks

- Bonds are easier to make a profit than options. Why? Options are written with various factors which make the price at a premium. If you're writing them, you can make money easier than "trading them.
- In general no, since you need a much higher amount of capital to trade bonds straigt up (whereas with an option you can buy way out of the money contracts and hit gold). In addition bonds are no where near as volatile as options (even now), so the possibility of making a large profit/loss is much less.
- hi, actually, i don't have much experience about this term. however, i know a website that can give you many things that you ever wanted to know about CBOT interest rate futures markets.Treasury bond futures contracts are an important part of learning how to trade futures and have their own interest rate fundamentals and are important to people who are interested in how interest rate hedging and government bond futures work. you may check it out here: http://www.bondfuturestrading.com good luck!
