trading dwight to the cavs?

ok ive been thinking, what the cavs need to be a clear step above the celtics and the lakers is a quality big man, mo is turning into lebrons' pippen and of course we got lebron himself, but we kinda suck with our big men, ilgauskus/varejao/wallace are all ok but really they arent good enough for what the cavs need, so i was thinking they need to improve there. so they have two options: 1) do whatever it takes to get dwight from orlando, i know its a long shot but if the lakers could do something similar and put kobe and shaq together and keep them together for years then the cavs can do the same with lebron-dwight, maybe trade a combination of the above players and a whole lot of draft picks? 2) the more realistic but less exciting option, trade up in this year or next years draft to get a top quality rookie big man? what does everyone think? what quality big man should the cavs try and get and how should they do it, its all they need to be the top team of the next decade anthony, you do have a point but i'm thinking long term, zydrunas is 33, wallace is 34, they wont be around that much longer, the cavs need a center in his 20s to be there long term, as we get closer to lebrons contract expiring lbj will start thinking about his long term future and where hes gunna get 3-4-5 championships, and it wont be at a team whose starting C and PF are 33 and 34, they need a good young starting center if they want lebron to resign, because we all know whats most important to him is having a long term championship worthy supporting cast

  1. Acquiring Howard is next to impossible for the Cavs. Be realistic. Why don't the Cavs offer a trade for Amare Stoudamire or Tyson Chandler instead?
  2. no
  3. If it is not broke do not fix it. I mean on paper if the Cavs get Howard they would look next to unbeatable, but teams do not win championships on paper. Who knows how good the Cavs would be if they had DH12 maybe their record and how good they will be would not even come close to matching up how they were supposed to on paper. I mean Big Z fits perfectly w/ Cleveland's system and Big Ben is alright, but not really a top necessity cause Varejao is turning into one (a top necessity). Also, who know how trading Big Z would affect LBJ23 he may leave and lose motivation. Remember, Big Z is the best friend of Bron on the team and he always says great things about him. When Bron led the Cavs to the Finals he said, how proud he was that Big Z is in the Finals or when Big Z became the all-time Cavs leader in rebounds LBJ23 praised him some more. Big Z is still an All-star caliber player. In fact if he was not injured would have been an All-star.
  4. I think they are addressing your question with J.J. Hickson. He has showed a lot of promise this year .
  5. 1. There is no way in hell the Magic Kingdom is giving up on Dwight. They too could win the Eastern Conference championship this year, just like Cleveland. Even a LeBron for Dwight swap doesn't make sense for Orlando because they are stacked at the SF positions (Lewis, Turkoglu) and at the back court (Pietrus, Nelson, Alston, Redick, Lee). Also Dwight is a superstar in this league, he is a Batman, not a Robin; he is Superman, not Lois Lane, and for Orlando terms, he is Mickey Mouse, not Goofy, Donald Duck, and all the Disney Princesses combined. 2. Trying to trade up in the draft for a big man seems like a viable option perhaps, but it's a reach at best. The top two guys in the draft (if they go pro) would be Hasheem Thabeet and Blake Griffin, fortunately both are big guys. Also, this draft seems to be shallower than the 2006 draft so the teams that have these picks definitely have a player in high demand to say the least. Right now, that means that the Cavs will have to ask for either the Sacramento Kings or the Washington Wizards to trade the pick. Both teams are pretty young and in Sacramento's case, they could add almost anyone down low, and for the Wizards, a top 2 pick along with health could make them next year's Miami Heat. Given that the Kings have made some moves, they may be more likely to trade their pick than the Wizards, who aren't gonna deal with the Cavs who have already asked for Jamison and Butler this season...
  6. Dont Think That It Could Happen Because Orlando Will Only Trade Howard For Lebron And I Dont think That There is A Crazy GM Who Will Trade LeBron James
  7. NO but if the answer is Yes for who? for lebron that's impossible
  8. Actually i think this could happen maybe pushing Lebron James to Power Foward and getting a vetern Small foward like maybe a guy like Caron Butler or just aquire somebody like Boozer or Gooden
  9. I'm looking more at Bosh or Al Jefferson, either one would seal up any doubts of championships for LeBron.
  10. .. you're stupid its absolutely impossible to get Howard on the Cavs .. unless they want to loose Lebron in '10
  11. that would be a devistating team
  12. Cavs are Champs if that trade happens.
