Is Options University and Forex Trading for real? Okay so i have been looking at some ways to make money and i came across Forex trading. Well the trading actually looks legit, but i'm not so sure about this learning course at options university. Can someone tell me about their experience with this, or if you know an even better way to learn, say from a better book. Also do you have to pay for the options university training course?
What is the minimum capital needed for forex, options and futures trading ? Free and recommended simulators ? Hello guys, I'm interested in learning more about forex, options and futures trading. I heard that there are mini or micro account that can go as little as US$ 200 or 300 dollar. Is it true ? Also, any recommendations for free forex, options and futures trading simulators ? I know that some websites provide this service but usually the virtual capital is too high (10K or up), and I want to set the initial capital to small amount like US$ 300 or 500. If possible, is there any recommendations for courses/books ? I'm not aiming for those "fancy" amount of income, several thousand/month is OK. Of course I'm not looking for courses that cost hundreds or thousands of dollars... Thanks for the input. I agree that it's a bit too much to expect thousands of returns for such a small amount of capital. But, if I expect my capital which is around 300 or 500 to be doubled by around 1-2 month. Doesn't is sound possible ???? My plan is actually something like this : The capital will be 300 or 500. The goal is to double the capital by around 1 - 2 mounth(s). When I have more money, I will buy more lots... To make it safer, every time I manage to double the previous capital, I will do one more time before I plan to use more capital to trade. It will be something like this (US$500 capital) : 500 - 1000 - 1000 (don't use for trading) - 2000 - 2000(don't use for trading) - 4000 and so on ... Now the problem is to find the system that are able to do this... Any recommendations ? I personally distrust systems that cost hundreds or thousands or dollars. There are simply too many scams...

In your opinion what is a better way to trade currencies for a living; spot-forex or currency options? Also...? I am 18 years old and I have been practicing spot-forex trading for several months now with FX Club and I am quite good at it and have learned a lot about currency trading from my demo account and some books and internet article sites on currency & options trading. Its become my passion actually. I also know something that actually is a secret to FX trading success; the trends are usually long term, lasting from several months to several years meaning you are best to trade for the long term on currency pairs to enjoy the ride of making money. You can't do this with spot-FX because you are trading on margin and if a trading position is left open too long, you will be wiped out within so long. What I would like to know is if currency options trading is a good way to trade currency by simple vanilla call & put options as I know that spot-FX is essentially a mugs game? Also is there anybody out there who trades currency options for a living at all? Also, what is an easy to use currency options trading brokerage that can be used by a UK based investor? Please help advise. Thanks. P.S. Sorry my question is too long.
What's with the sudden explosion in forex trading? It seems to me I can't visit a finance related site without seeing something about forex trading to the point that I see ads for $250 "mini accounts." It seems to me that trading currencies is exceedingly risky and only for the very sophisticated investor. I trade in options but I moved into that from equity investing. At least in that area I can still look at fundamental corporate performance and detailed economic forecasts to research my options activity. In the world of currencies, however, no such audited, published information exists. While I am sure there are huge amounts of money to be made, it seems as though the average investor has less chance of being successful in the long term with forex than even options trading. Are people just being drawn in to forex like all the late night "Flip this house" infomercials?
where can I see forex options quotes? Ive been looking everywhere for this. i need a free (hopefully) website that has quotes for forex option chains like EUR/USD 1.40 Jan call anyone know any sources? also, anyone use forex brokers that trade such instruments?
Can someone help with Forex trading? I am looking for a mentor to help me out with Forex Trading. I mentor others in stock and option investments and am curious about forex but need some help to learn. PLEASE DO NOT reply with trading robots, I will report you as spam!!!! I am tired of the ads on here and am looking for legitimate help with transactions and charting. Anyone willing to help a fellow trader?
Is anyone using or have used the "Russell Sands Turtle Trading"? A lot of talk has been back and forth about this interesting trading system, some say "Bad" others, "it's true" or "Scam". I would like to hear from those that are actually trading this thing, in particular, the "Russell Sands Turtle Trading" Forex- currencies and followed the exact plan. I personally have no experience in trading Forex (currencies) but have traded options for some years. Since our economy is soooo... "beautifull", I am looking in other ways of making a living. Again, only persons that have used or are currently using this system. Much appreciated.
Whats better to trade FX with out of options, spread betting or spot trading? Whats best for UK resident? Currently at the time of writing I am 18 years of age and I have been practicing stock, commodity and currency trading in several different practice accounts. What I have discovered is that I am best at currency trading and I make the most money out of trading that way. With stocks and commodities I have had moderate successes but I'm better at FX trading than anything else and I've learned a lot too. I also know that currency tends to trend long term such as a few months to a few years which is where currency options are best suited. Spot-forex trading on the other hand is traded on margin and is best suited to short term trading of the FX markets. I have only had practice trading FX in spot-forex and spread betting, both of which had a return of several hundred percent. What I would like to know is what is the best way to trade forex out of currency options, spread betting or spot FX, and which is best suited to a UK resident to gain wealth? Please help/advise. Thanks. P.S. Sorry its so long.
Confused about options strike price? I am confused about one thing in trading forex options. if the spot price of EURUSD in 1.4644 and i open a sell put option at 1.5000 and the expiry for next day. the sell option is a credit options so i should receive the premium right?? so when will i receive the premium after expiry? and what if the spot price at expiry is 1.4550 how much will i lose?
Do currency options work differently than stock options? I've traded options before with US stocks and I understand that if I buy 1 contract for 100 shares priced at $.50 they are going to charge me $50 plus commission. Is that basically the same for forex? For example, I was looking at options on CME for EUR. One contract covers 125,000 of Euros. If I buy one contract at a price of .0010 do they charge my account $125 plus commission? Is that the most that I can lose on that position or am I somehow leveraged 50:1 like a regular forex trade and I can lose a lot more than $125?
Difference between stocks, bonds, futures, options, and forex? I don't know anything about trading, but am interested in learning. I don't need an in depth answer to this question as I can Google it. I'm simply looking for a basic answer as to the differences between stocks, bonds, futures, options, and forex.

Automated Forex trading? Hello i want to find an automated forex scalping system and an automated options on stocks system. Can someone help?
Why are there no standardized forex options? Hi, Its hard to find a broker that offers forex options. The one I know is Saxobank. When I tried the demo account, it lets you choose the exact strike price (5 pip increments) and the expiry date, day by day. They are way to customized and the pip spread is always 15 pips on most of them. This tells me one thing, saxo bank is trading against their clients, so its in their interest to manipuate the spread and win when client loses. Why are there no standardized options for forex like they have with stock options (expiry month, fixed strikes) they would be SO MUCH more liquid than those phony currency futures options. Or correct me if Im wrong, do they exist?

Options Trading Help? I am 40 years old. I invested in forex market over metatrader platform. there i found that there is a dealing desk. So I shifted to stocks. traded and averaged a lot and got profit at the end. Now I am tired of averaging. I want to enter into options. I have read a lot of options but still not able to understand it properly. I seek help. I downloaded options oracle software. but it does not simulate or guide us in any way. just select strategy and it will pop up the show. There are plenty of options traders who surefire earn atleast 2% a single trade. I need the same surefire way. Can anybody help how it can be done. I can invest 25000 INR at present to start with. once I gained confidence I will invest more. I understand it requires patience and a ability to accept failures. I am willing for it, but at last there should be profit. Can anybody advise how it can be achieved ?
Options trading on etrade- what can I do with level 1? !? I have no options experience and I am trying to understand what the differences in the various levels are. I was hoping I could use cash to back calls and puts with level 1 but this does not seem to be the case. Can anyone provide details? Also, since e-trade only allows upgrades every 90 days, I'm looking for a broker which will allow me to back calls and puts with cash immediately after opening the account. Disclaimer: I realize these are high risk investments which could result in a complete loss. That's what I'm looking for and I am investing only risk capital in them, as I do with the Forex. Thank you. I understand a 'greater than initial investment loss' possibility when writing options but when buying calls and puts backed with cash is this still possible?
How does Advanced Currency Market / Online Forex work? I need your help! There is a so-called ACM, a company in Dubai that works on forex trading and currency trading. Honestly, I almost don't have any ideas about how this thing works. It's like I have to open an account and invest money. I don't know how it works. How will that benefit me? Will it make my money grow? And there's some kind of a software that has a lot of buttons, numbers, options, etc. I really can't figure out how it works. Please help me!
Can banker's spouse trade any securities or forex without the 30 days restriction? I am taking a career in investment banking. My husband trade options and stocks pretty frequently. His trades can be as short as a few days to a couple months, rarely longer than a year. I learn that there is restrictions on trading securities if the spouse works full time in the bank, for example, approval needed from the bank before entering the trade, and no closing of each trade before 30 days. Do you know if that apply for forex trading as well? I am not sure if that means he needs to stop trading completely, or he can trade forex, etc.
Hedging forex risks when trading currency for profit.? If I were to trade USD/GBR on forex market, what sort of hedge would I use to reduce my level of risk? Ie would I buy other currencies at the same time, or use forward contracts / future contracts or even options. Which is the most common and effective. Thanks
Which is the hottest area of "Trading" (NOT Investing) at the moment & why? In other words, which Trading segment has the highest potential pay off compared to the amount of money at risk (assuming for the sake of assumption, of course, that you are equally knowledgeable and lucky in all): Would it be Forex, Options, Futures, etc. (Please specify + a brief reason why) Also which Trading strategy do you use or recommend for that market (please briefly elaborate). Thank You!

What type of stocks are good for trend trading in your opinion? I recently recieved my new passport and will have officially opened up my share dealing account with my bank to trade the stock market with. I have, in the past, looked into geared investments like Options trading, CFDs; (contracts for differences), spread betting, spot-forex trading, but I don't like the idea of using any of them and feel that directly investing into the stock market is much more enjoyable and healthy in the long term. I would like to know what stocks are best, in your opinion, to trend trade, i.e. if a stock is going up and has been for a few months follow the trend up?
Option Trading? I really like to play stock, day strade, swing trade, long short, you name it. But what is options? I heard that the risk is so much grater than stock. Also can you earn money by predicting which stock will go up or go down ? Is this option? Does option trading similar to FOREX? Sorry, does this means I have to specipy if stock a gonna go down to lets say from $ 9.45 to $ 7.30 SPECIFICALLY. If this is so. It is mighty difficult. I know a lot of stock prices that is for sure to PLUMMET however to say i have to give a SPECIFIC price ? that is almost impossible ?

Forex Swing Trading? Hi! I have been trading stocks and options for a while and have been thinking about forex. In other words, at what time should i say a day ends and when should i take the closing price? Thanks! Well, as I thinking of trading the forex on a daily basis, what time would be the best time to take closing price of a daily bar? Would it be 12 am?

NOT CONSIDERING THE INHERENT RISKS INVOLVED, which is potentially the most profitable "TRADING" area to be in? Is it, theoretically speaking: 1- Options & Futures …… (And if so, in what underlying area?) 2- Forex Trading ……. (And if so, which currencies) or 3- Neither ……. (And if so, why not and what area would you recommend instead?) Which one offers the most theoretical/potential return and requires the least upfront outlay? Again, NOT considering the inherent risks, BUT merely the potential for return. Please, offer as much detail as possible. Thank You! P.S. Please also note, that I am talking about "Trading" and NOT "Investing". E.V. - Thanks for your great advice. g3n1ouz0 - What an incredible piece of creative writing. I wish, I could reward it with the BA, but unfortunately its ingenious satire does not really address the question. In other words, it would not be exactly fair to others to pick it as the BA. Nonetheless, THANK YOU for such a wonderful piece of writing - I know you must have put some time into that. Thanks again. Sheepherder - Great to have you back, dear. So you are recommending a pot of gold to be buried in the backyard, huh? I hope things don't get as bad as you are predicting, at least for another 50 years or so! :-) .... Then again, you’re an old (only in spirit, okay lol) fox who has been around so: When Sheep talks, the market might get sheepish! :-) :-)

Shares, commodities, options, emini's, forex? For many years I have wanted to start investing but education is holding me back. There is soooo much information available that it's difficult to sift the chaff from the grain and I get bogged down with a brain overload. I could do a course like Lifestyle trader which has components on all these areas but for $11,000 before you even place a trade, it seems incredibly steep, especially with no iron clad promise of success. I'd get a better warranty on a new kettle. So, my question requires a lot of thought from those who will answer. If you were to design a course educating rank newbies in shares, commodities, options, emini's and forex, where would you begin and how would you build on that information-references, websites, books etc. Remember you learn addition and subtraction before vectors and matrices so it's a slow build not sink or swim.

Is anyone using or have used the "Russell Sands Turtle Trading"? A lot of talk has been back and forth about this interesting trading system, some say "Bad" others, "it's true" or "Scam". I would like to hear from those that are actually trading this thing, in particular, the "Russell Sands Turtle Trading". What Currency is the best to buy right now? I just opened a Forex currency trading account. I have been trading stocks and options for a number of years. I was thinking of moving into the Euro from the dollar because I am concerned about U.S. Dollar weakness moving forward but I see that the Euro is trading at 1.32 to the U.S. dollar now, that is nearly an all time high. Anyone here trade currencies? What currency is the best to buy right now? There are no commissions. I am somewhat familiar with currency markets and I was asking for opinions not condescending put downs so the first two answers are uncalled for.
Where are the Forex Millionaires/Billionaires? I have been studying forex for a few weeks now and something that still buggs me and to which i can't find an answer is the following. Other than the famous Soros, i don't know if any uber rich guy that made his fortune in the Forex market. By uber rich i mean a billionaire, but "just" knowing of a few multimillionaires who run some Forex investing fund would be enough. Maybe i haven't searched enough, but i can't find anything about it. I know if super rich people who made it through businesses (obviously), trading stocks, options, futures, but not one single forex trader (who made his fortune primarily through it; mentioning how Buffet invests in currencies now and then doesn't count). Why is it? And then i see all the supposed big shots in the Forex investing area, and they all became speakers, or working for companies, or became "miracle forex programs" sellers. They seldom mention how much they actually made through forex. Can anybody name some well-known Forex investors?
Where is Questrade offer code ? I am Canadian & I am looking to trade stocks & open an account as stocks are really low, I notice Questrade review offers the lowest rates under $5 per trade with forex, gold, mutual funds & options trading... I also notice Questrade do run from time to time special promotional offers in form of coupons, deals, promo codes for new accounts. If anyone is a current Questrade customer, please do post your comments as to how you rate them for service, do you think Questrade scam? Are they any hidden fees or commissions not listed on their www questrade com site?
Should I do asset search on him? I just won a law suit against a guy whom fraud my money. Unfortunately, his house got foreclosure before the law suit ended and he does not have a job either. He is doing Forex trading for a living. I would appreciate your suggestion on how to get my money back. I do not know where he is hiding his asset. Will an asset search help in this case? If so, are there any reliable firms/companies for asset searching? Or any other options? It will be more helpful if you have similar experience. Thanks a lot.
