What online options brokers have flat rate commission? What on line options brokers offer flat rate commission? I used to use optionshouse.com, but they sent me an email that they will change the rate to $8.50 + $0.15/contract. So I am trying to find a new online options broker that will allow me to trade as many options contract as I want for a flat rate commision. Can you help me out?

How do I buy/sell options, broker doesn't allow it? I'm want to buy call options, but I have to fill out all this stuff with a broker, and then they said I have to have 100 shares of the stock if I'm going to buy the option.. anyone know how I can just buy the call option w/o having to have 100 shares in my portfolio? I want to buy an uncovered call. Is this prohibited by brokers b/c of the downside? I know the risks, but I just want to buy the call uncovered. Thanks for any additional help.
Interactive Brokers Options Selling? I am looking to sell (short) far out-of-the-money naked options (both puts and calls). I am referring to stock options, not index options. I currently have an account with tradeking, however, they are quite strict on their options selling rules. I have around $3,000 in equity, still growing. I am under 21, and so, the minimum for IB is $3,000. If I were to open an account with them, do they have specific options trading levels that I would be required to achieve before I can sell naked options? I heard that ThinkorSwim doesn't have any options levels, you can just trade whatever you want, so they are my next choice. I feel that selling far OTM options is actually a fairly conservative trading style. I don't intend to hold until expiration, and so I don't believe that assignment would be an issue, however, I still intend to maintain enough equity to purchase shares in the event of an assignment. Any help? Or do guys like me have to wait till they have $250,000 to sell naked options?
What broker would you recommend for trading options? I recently took a course in trading options and have placed a few contracts. I use Fidelity investments Active Trader Pro but would like to know if there are better platforms than this one and if the brokers are reputable with good support assistance. Thanks! Thanks for all your help everyone!

Can an online broker discriminate against allowing me to trade options on the basis of age? Interactive Brokers doesn't allow me to sign up for options trading because I'm not 21 yet, but they do allow stock trading. I'm 19. Is it legal for them to do that? Where is the law that says it's legal? What basis do they have for denying me trading options with them due being less than 21. 18 is the legal adult age in US. I'm almost 20 and have 1.5 years investing in options. I just used a different broker Ameritrade.
How do I get started trading equity options and futures? I have a quant background in hedging, so I'm not asking for guidance on how to learn modeling or developing strategies for trading options. I have work experience doing option valuation and developing dynamic replication strategies, but I have never done the trading. I want to start relatively small - I'm comfortable putting about $20K at risk. I would be looking to hedge options against options while trying to limit the amount of dynamic hedging. I expect that I'll need set up some margin in addition to any net option premium. Is $20K reasonable? Are there brokers specializing in options? Does anyone recommend CME, CBOE or other tools? (I know that some exchanges offer tools for subscription.) Thanks!

I have Scottrade right now and it rips off much of my profit in commissions. e-trade, ameritrade, charles and schwab all those fancy websites are much the same as scottrade. Does anyone have a list of online forex brokers that offer both spot and option trading? I am interested in trading forex pairs and using options to hedge my live forex positions. Does anyone know where can I find a list of forex brokers that offer me the possibility of opening positions (just like any forex broker out there) but at the same time buying american-style options from them in order to hedge my open long or short positions (in conjunction with a stop-loss order or by itself)?
Which broker has a good options trading platform? Currently I dabble in stocks and forex and enjoy trading. I am looking to get into options trading and need a good broker with a nice platform that has a fairly easy learning curve, but still leaves some fun stuff for the advanced user. I am looking for a broker that offers commodities such as gold, silver, platinum. If they offer stocks as well it would be nice, but not necessary.
What are the requirements to trade options if you use an online broker like Scottrade? Im a 21 college student and have decided to take a small amount of risk in the market, perhaps trading options. I have an account with the online broker Scottrade that has a value > 25000. I turned in the paperwork for trading options. So if I were to invest a small amount of my portfolio into a call option for (X) tomorrow morning, what steps do i need to take (besides filling out the order form i know how to do that)? Do I have to own shares in (X)? Also it's a $1.25 per contract, so does that mean for each single option I buy it cost $1.25? I just started a course in investments and will learn more about options later this semester, I just want a head start and possibly make some money. Thank You.

Why is there a stigma on Mortgage Brokers? I'm a very hard working, honest mortgage broker for NC, MD and PA. But, there is a natural stigma against brokers. I understand there is always a "bad seed", which is the case in ANY field. Most times, a broker is the best option for a refinance, since we can shop MANY lenders guidelines to find the right loan. Whereas a lender only has their guidelines - you fit it or they turn you down. Please help me understand this, from your experience.

Mortgage options. How do I decide which is the best deal? I have two brokers trying to get my business and have good faith estimates from both that cover a range of options. The lowest rate has the second lowest payment but has me paying more in closing. The ones without pointshave me paying either a higher rate, a higher payment, or both. This is the second time I've bought a property, but the last time was 20+ years ago and it's a blur. How do I decide which is the best deal?

They had better not get in my way.
Are there any whole life insurance / Roth IRA options similar to Colorado Banking? I recently spoke to an investment broker about an option offered by Colorado Banking that offers an IRA with a guaranteed interest rate where the amount you put in ($150 per month) goes toward a 80,000 whole life insurance plan and also into an IRA that would return 319,000 at the end of 45 years. I've done the math and it does work itself out, but I'm curious if there are any companies that compete with the same type of plan.

What are my options when I was lured into signing a lease when we were suppose to be renting to own? One year ago this month we were lured into signing a lease on a property that was suppose to rent to own. I was told that we had to be in a lease a year before transfering it over to rent to own I was also told that the $6500 we have paid in rent would be counted torward the rent to own. However none of this has happened and I recently found out that the person that rented it to me is a real estate broker and he does not even own the house. What are my options Please Help! The only reason we signed the lease is because we were lied into it. I have documentation proving this.

Where to get a list of standard options? Where can I download a listing of standard options for each of the optionable stocks (as I don't really care to trade the non-standard ones)? For instance, for CVS, with that list, I could easily check that the standard options start with 'CVS' and ignore the others. Currently, I need to check each ticker from my online broker's website, which is troublesome.

Brokers License for Real Estate investor? I called a real estate lawyer to review contracts because I wanted to be a real estate investor, but he said I needed a brokers License to buy and sell real estate, get properties under contract, assign them and lease options. So he pretty much crushed my dream, Im not sure what to do now with my life. This is for CA.
I own ISO stock options in a private company. Who can I sell them to? I own fully vested ISO stock options in a private company. Now, tracking their valuation is going to be hard to do, but the thought came to me about who can I sell them to if I chose to do so? These are not the kind of stocks one can just list with a broker. At least, this is true based on what I know about them.
Is there a recommended amount for starting out w/ options? I've been doing a lot of reserach on (call options). But it seems pretty pointless to waste $500-$1000 to only gain maybe $20-$100. Then you have to take in account for broker fee's,contract fee's,trade fee's. Is there an idea amount that one should have before purchasing options. If anyone knows of a good website where I can continue to educate myself on options, it would be helpful.
Options trading in India? I have been trading options in the US for a long time. I would like to know if the Indian options market is similar to the US options market. I am not sure if any options broker in India can handle the sophisticated option tools. I have dual citizenship of USA and India.
How do I limit losses on equity options? I have traded equity option on UK FT100/Liffe for about a year and I make money on approx 4 out of 6 trades but lose my shirt on the remaining two. My problem is I cannot sit and watch the screen all day so when the market moves against me I am frequently already to late to reverse or sell my position. I have asked the broker and they tell me it is market driven and there is no opportunity to electronically limit a loss on a position but I cannot believe that the major players do not have that facility. I use a system called myBroker which is a bit clunky and I am now thinking a little expensive.
Can you buy stock options with a LLC? I know there are plenty of advantages to buying real estate with a LLC, and an online broker site that I buy stock options through lets you open an account with a LLC. I was wondering if the same benefits apply to stock options with a LLC that exist with buying and owning real estate. (i.e. tax advantages, asset protection, ect.) Has anybody done this or know if it works the same as it does with real estate.
